Job summary

Westat is seeking motivated Field Interviewers for the MEPS study. You will conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults from a nationally representative sample, using a Westat laptop.

You will contact households, schedule visits, complete interviews, and collect signed documents. Travel to mandatory in-person training in January 2027 is required, with occasional local and long-distance travel.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older or emancipated minor and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Available to complete mandatory web-based training between Jan 4–15, 2027 before in-person training.
• Able to travel to in-person training (Jan 19–25, 2027) and follow-up travels for assignments.
• Available to complete additional web-based and virtual training after in-person training, Jan 26–31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households in-person and by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, complete interviews, and collect and follow up with signed documents.
• Transmit electronic data daily when working and comply with data security requirements.
