Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers to conduct MEPS interviews with adults in households across the United States. You will travel for training, set appointments, and perform in-person interviews using a Westat laptop, submitting data daily.

This part-time, hourly position runs across two data collection periods each year, with shifts typically in the evenings and on weekends. Training begins in January 2027, with ongoing data security requirements.

Qualifications

• Be 18+ years old with ability to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Available to complete mandatory online and in-person training in January 2027.
• Be willing to travel for training and for local or long-distance interviews.
• Able to lift 20 pounds and climb stairs while carrying equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person interviews with households using a Westat-provided laptop.
• Contact households, set appointments, complete interviews, and collect signed documents.
• Transmit data daily and comply with data security requirements.
• Work approximately 20 hours per week when work is available, mainly evenings and weekends.
