Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers to support the MEPS study, conducting in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households across the United States.

This part-time, yearly program requires travel to in-person training in January 2027 and potential local and long-distance travel. The role includes daily data transmission and compliance with data security requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Must be able to travel to training and field sites as required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle.
• Willingness to travel to local and long-distance households; some overnight travel may be required.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as data collection windows vary.

Responsibilities

• Contact households in-person or by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Schedule appointments and conduct in-person interviews and computer-assisted interviews.
• Transmit electronic data daily and complete required administrative paperwork.
• Travel to in-person training in January 2027 and to field sites as needed.
