Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers for MEPS to conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults nationwide. You will contact households, set interviews, and collect signed documents using a Westat laptop. Training in January 2027 is mandatory, with some travel required.

The role is part-time with two data collection periods each year and breaks between rounds. Hours are mostly evenings/weekends; daily data transmission is required when working.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Must complete mandatory web-based home study training and Teams sessions by Jan 15, 2027.
• Must travel to in-person training Jan 19–25, 2027 and attend for five-and-a-half days.
• Must complete post-training home study Jan 26–31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Contact households in-person or by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, complete interviews, and collect and follow up with signed documents.
• Transmit electronic data daily when working and complete administrative paperwork.
• Adhere to data security and confidentiality requirements.
