Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
• High School Diploma required; college-level education preferred.
• Experience with scheduling, phone operator, and medical facility.
• Excellent communication and ability to multitask under stress.
• Professional interaction with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments with providers and time/location slots.
• Routes calls, takes messages and enters as a task.
• Uses electronic systems to obtain patient information.
• Collects accurate information for electronic records.
• Maintains accurate, legally compliant patient records.
• Coordinates with medical staff to support patient care.
• Enters scheduling notes in the EMR.
• Completes informed consent documentation as needed.
• Verifies insurance and handles prior authorization as needed.
• Supports patient care in a safety-focused environment.
• Assists other department staff as needed.
