Job summary

SECU in Chapel Hill, NC, seeks a Member Services Officer who can handle account maintenance, open accounts, and assist in consumer lending while upholding credit union values.

You will balance cash, process wires, perform notary services, educate members on products, and support community events.

A high school diploma is required; college or CCUE preferred, with CLP completion and prior SECU experience.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree or CCUE Certification preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Minimum of 2 years SECU or related experience preferred.
• Has completed CLP courses and passed the CLP Exam.
• Has attended the New Consumer Lender Learning Program.
• Demonstrates SECU Core Values.
• Complete Credit Union Core Module within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in all areas of consumer lending and approve within assigned limits.
• Perform account maintenance and open all account types for new members.
• Process basic and wire transfers, and assist with cash operations.
• Provide Notary Public services and educate on financial products.
• Organize community events to enhance SECU presence.
• Maintain records and assist with daily reporting.
