Job summary

SECU is seeking a customer-focused teller in Chapel Hill, NC, to provide exemplary member service across delivery channels, handle cash and account maintenance, and educate members on services. The role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and strong communication in a fast-paced banking environment.

Responsibilities include opening accounts, processing transactions, balancing cash drawers, and supporting branch operations while adhering to policies and attending ongoing training as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to greet members and respond to needs with patience and professionalism.
• Educate members on services and recommend based on needs.
• Basic math skills and accuracy in transactions.

Responsibilities

• Handle establishment of new membership and open accounts.
• Educate members on services and make recommendations.
• Key transactions in Margo system and balance cash drawer.
• Balance vault, ATM, TCD and coin sorter.
• Operate drive-thru window as needed.
• Maintain daily/monthly reports (vault, checks, gift cards, tickets, forgeries, coin sorter).
• Prepare and verify cash deliveries weekly.
• Assist with account problems and reconciliations.
• Process credit card advances after approval as needed.
• Answer phone and perform clerical duties.
