Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience; standout candidates with less will be considered.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; primary platform for design and fabrication drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; able to design beyond drafting and figure out build methods.
• Accurate, detail-oriented drawings and ability to discuss designs with fabricators.
• Local to northern New Jersey and able to work onsite in Morris County; relocation not offered.
• Preferred: experience with conveyors or similar fabrications; water/wastewater background a plus.
• Enjoy design work and opportunities to grow within the role.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings for the shop.
• Determine how to build customer requirements, including new equipment.
• Lead conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit fabrication shop to review plans, check progress, and resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with the required level of detail.
• Support the project engineer with design work for each order.
• Ensure details are correct before release to achieve first-time fit.
