RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC in Morris County, NJ is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks experience to design water and wastewater equipment. You will create fabrication drawings and work closely with fabrication teams to ensure designs are buildable and meet customer needs.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, collaboration with shop personnel, and growth as the engineering group expands. Onsite work in northern NJ is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline is required.
• 3-4 years of mechanical design experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; capable of producing fabrication drawings.
• Local to northern New Jersey and able to work fully onsite in Morris County; relocation not offered.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Develop methods to build customer requirements, including equipment not previously produced.
• Manage conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit fabrication shop to review plans, resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with appropriate detail.
