Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Morris County, NJ. This is a fully onsite role with a privately held manufacturer of water and wastewater process equipment.

You will design in SolidWorks and translate concepts into fabrication drawings, working closely with the shop floor to refine plans and ensure buildability. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 3–4 years of mechanical design experience, and a strong aptitude for turning requirements into

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and able to produce fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Figure out how to build customer-required equipment including new designs.
• Carry conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit fabrication shop to review plans and resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with required detail.
• Support the project engineer with design work for each order.
• Ensure details are right before release so equipment fits first time.
