Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; primary design and fabrication drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to design beyond drafting.
• Local to northern New Jersey and onsite in Morris County; relocation not offered.
• Preferred: experience designing conveyors or similar fabricated equipment.
• Water and wastewater background is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and create fabrication drawings.
• Determine how to build customer requirements, including unseen equipment.
• Lead conveyor designs from requirements through release drawings.
• Visit fabrication shop to review plans and resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with required level of detail.
• Support the project engineer with design work for each order.
• Get details right before release to ensure first-time fit.
