Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps within the Applications Engineering team. The role bridges RF capabilities with Marine Corps requirements, supporting acquisition stakeholders and field demonstrations of the StreamCaster MANET radio portfolio.

You will assist in field trials, modernization efforts, and evaluating interoperability across expeditionary, littoral, and tactical environments, with travel up to 50% and a remote work option depending

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles.
Exposure to or working knowledge of SDRs, IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Assist in analyzing USMC operational priorities and mapping requirements to tactical radio solutions.
Support planning, network configuration, and live-on-the-air execution of field trials and evaluations.
Collaborate to leverage testing data and ensure proposed architectures are technically sound.
Maintain alignment with the Business Development team to support technical needs and strategic priorities.
Aid in building and presenting technical demonstrations for expeditionary and tactical edge networking.
