Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements. You will coordinate with Engineering and BD to demonstrate interoperability and field-readiness of StreamCaster radios across diverse environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel and may offer remote work depending on location; you’ll work with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL and other defense stakeholders to shape product roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Network Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering or defense tech roles.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain SECRET clearance within 15 months of hire.
• Experience with Software-Defined Radios, IP routing, or tactical comms.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan configurations and conduct field trials, modernizations, and evaluations.
• Collaborate to leverage testing data to verify architectures.
• Support BD with technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demos for expeditionary networks.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems and naval centers.
• Gather field feedback to inform product roadmap; travel up to 50%.
