Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps to bridge RF capabilities with defense customer requirements. You will work with Applications Engineering to demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster MANET radios across expeditionary, littoral, ground, airborne, and unmanned environments.

This role involves up to 50% travel for field tests and customer meetings, with a 100% remote option depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2-5 years in systems engineering or defense tech roles; OR HS Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months; U.S. Citizen required.
• All employment contingent on background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Business Development to ensure sound architectures.
• Support technical demonstrations for expeditionary and tactical edge needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and test end-to-end network architectures.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems and naval centers.
• Gather field feedback to inform product roadmap inputs and track progress.
