Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Business Development Engineer, US Marine Corps, to bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps customer needs. You will collaborate with Engineering and Business Development to demonstrate radio solutions across expeditionary and tactical environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel and a US security clearance. You will work with the Applications Engineering team to ensure field-readiness of the StreamCaster MANET radios and MN-MIMO waveform in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of systems engineering or defense tech experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire; US citizenship required.
• All employment contingent upon background check and drug test.
• Security clearance and background checks are mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to validate architectures and run benchmarking.
• Support Business Development with technical needs and strategic alignment.
• Prepare technical demonstrations for expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP technical responses and end-to-end network tests.
• Travel up to 50% for customer sites, labs, and field tests.
