Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies unit seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps to bridge RF capabilities with defense requirements. You’ll support acquisition stakeholders, demonstrate interoperability, and drive field readiness of StreamCaster radios across expeditionary and littoral environments.

The position involves up to 50% travel for field tests and demonstrations, with a 100% remote option depending on location.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in a related field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech roles; or HS diploma with 5+ years relevant tech experience.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months; U.S. citizenship due to government contracts.

Responsabilités

• Analyze USMC operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to ensure architectures are technically sound and benchmark data supports decisions.
• Maintain alignment with BD team to support technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Develop and present technical demonstrations for expeditionary networking needs.
• Support RFI/RFP responses with technical input and reviews.
• Conduct market research to identify integrations with partners and test end-to-end networks.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval centers as needed.
