Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements, supporting field demonstrations and MAE teams. This remote/hybrid role travels to field sites and briefings as needed.

You will work with Engineering and Business Development to showcase StreamCaster radios, align roadmaps with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, and PEO Land Systems, and ensure field readiness across expeditionary environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software‑Defined Radios (SDRs), IP‑based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.

Responsabilités

• Analyze USMC operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and field trials.
• Collaborate to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Align with Business Development to meet strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and test end‑to‑end architectures.
• Travel 25‑50% for field tests and demonstrations.
