Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies unit seeks a Business Development Engineer for US Marine Corps. Bridging RF capabilities with customer needs, you will support acquisition stakeholders and demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster radios across expeditionary and tactical environments.

Role requires up to 50% travel, with remote work option depending on location. Requires 2–5 years in defense tech and active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech roles.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communications systems.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months; US citizenship required.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials and network configurations.
• Collaborate to benchmark architectures and verify feasibility.
• Support Business Development with technical needs and strategic alignment.
• Develop and present demonstrations for expeditionary networks.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, naval centers.
• Gather field feedback to drive product roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer meetings.
