Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements. You’ll work with engineering and BD to demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster radios across expeditionary environments, travel up to 50%, with potential for full remote work depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field.
• 2–5 years of experience in systems engineering, technical BD, or defense tech roles.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizen required due to government contracts.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan network configurations, live field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to leverage testing and benchmarking data to verify architectures.
• Align with Business Development to meet strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demos for expeditionary littoral and edge networking needs.
• Support RFI/RFP responses with technical input.
• Perform market research on potential industry integrations.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval warfare centers.
• Gather field feedback to influence the product roadmap.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer meetings.
