Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies unit seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USMC defense requirements. You will work with the Applications Engineering and BD teams to demonstrate interoperability and field readiness of StreamCaster radios across expeditionary, littoral, ground, and airborne environments.

Qualifications

• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software‑Defined Radios (SDRs), IP‑based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon successful clearance of background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USMC operational priorities and mapping operational requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live-on-the-air field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain alignment with the Business Development team to support technical needs and priority alignment.
• Assist in building and presenting technical demonstrations for expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute technical input for RFI/RFP responses and proposals.
• Perform market research for potential integrations with industry partners and test end‑to‑end architectures.
• Engage with stakeholders across MARCORSYSCOM/MG/MCWL/PEO Land Systems and naval centers.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs and track progress.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer meetings.
