Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to schedule preventative maintenance, coordinate outside repairs, and manage shop work plans. The role involves daily planning, customer communication, and ensuring maintenance readiness for Penske rental units.

The position requires 2 years of customer service and 1 year of mechanical experience, with preferred supervisory and administrative background. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, at the Garland, TX location.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have 2 years of customer service experience.
• The candidate must have at least 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• Associates/Bachelors degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans by considering customer needs, unscheduled repairs, parts, and technician skills.
• Communicate maintenance updates and billing concerns to customers and resolve service issues.
• Ensure Penske Rental units are maintained and prepared for customers.
• Coordinate availability of parts for scheduled work.
• Hold vendors accountable for quality and adherence to schedule for outside work.
• Provide excellent customer service to encourage repeat business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as necessary.
• Perform other projects as assigned by supervisor.
