Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Wichita, KS is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to schedule preventative maintenance, coordinate outside repairs, and manage the shop work plan.

This role supports customer satisfaction and efficient fleet service. You will develop daily and weekly workforce plans, communicate updates to customers, ensure parts availability, supervise staff, and maintain safety compliance while upholding Penske policies.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience required
• At least 1 year of hands on mechanical experience required
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
• At least 2 years of service department administration preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Associates Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelors Degree preferred
• ASE certification preferred
• Prior experience with service scheduling programs and diagnostic programs preferred
• Understand and comply with Penske management instructions and safety policies
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel and meet employment requirements including background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans by considering customer needs, repairs, parts, and technician skills to maximize service and productivity
• Communicate with customers for maintenance updates and changes to schedule or work
• Assure Penske Rental units are maintained and prepared for customers
• Ensure parts are available for scheduled work
• Hold vendors accountable for quality and schedule adherence for outside work
• Provide customer service to ensure satisfaction and future business
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as necessary
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
