Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator in Lubbock, TX. This role focuses on scheduling preventative maintenance, coordinating outside repairs, and managing the shop work plan to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.

The position requires hands-on mechanical experience and customer service skills, with potential for supervisory responsibilities and administration duties within the service department.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• At least 1 year of hands on mechanical experience required.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelors Degree preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Prior experience with service scheduling programs and diagnostic programs preferred.
• Must understand and comply with Penske policies including DOT/OSHA safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans factoring customer needs, repairs, parts, and technician skills.
• Communicate with customers for maintenance updates and schedule changes.
• Ensure Penske Rental units are maintained and prepared for customers.
• Ensure parts availability for scheduled work.
• Hold vendors accountable for quality and schedule adherence for outside work.
• Provide customer service to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as necessary.
• Perform other projects and tasks as assigned.
