Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a fast-paced, on-site seasonal role at rustic summer camps. You will lead prep and production for designated day parts, supervise staff, and ensure strict allergen safety and sanitation standards.

The position is live-in, with a demanding 6‑day, 70‑hour week, May–September. You will manage inventory, coordinate with camp leadership, and help deliver scratch-cooked meals to campers across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a leadership role in a commercial kitchen with scratch and institutional baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to navigate iPad and kitchen tech.
• Physically able to stand long hours, work in hot/cold kitchens, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding six-day, 70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operations flow, portion control, menu specs and scratch cooking execution.
• Strict allergen safety compliance and health department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
