Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen at our rural summer camps. You will oversee prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and uphold allergen safety and sanitation standards.

This on-site, seasonal role runs May–Sept with a 6‑day, ~70‑hour week. Competitive pay, bonuses, and full room & board are provided to support a dynamic, hands-on leader in a vibrant camp community.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• Certifications: ServSafe Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Skills: Strong leadership, scratch baking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods in hot/cold kitchen settings and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Lifestyle: Ready to live on-site in a rustic setting, work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week, thrive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen & safety compliance and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Admin & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
