Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a live-on-site role at our rural summer camp facilities. This hands-on leadership position covers all prep and production for a day part, staff management, and allergen safety.

This on-site, high-volume role requires a demanding 6-day/70-hour week with room and board provided. You will oversee operations, ensure food safety, and lead a dynamic team to deliver scratch-cooked meals across camp communities.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role.
• Experience with scratch cooking and institutional/batch cooking.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Live on-site and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Aufgaben

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
