Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York seeks a Technology Support Analyst to provide on-site IT support for the New York office. The role covers software, hardware, infrastructure, network, mobile, AV, telephone and security systems, reporting to Senior Technology Support Analyst and Technology Manager.

Qualifications

• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Citrix, Windows and Mac environments, NetDocuments, iPhone and other mobile devices, DTE, Litera ChangePro, and general desktop environments.
• Ability to apply logic, reasoning, analysis and interpretation skills to resolve problems; maintain concentration, alertness and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of hardware and software used for building security systems.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to learn new software and OS.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to local and central telephone helpline, support tickets and email; log calls and resolve or escalate as appropriate.
• Provide application support for local installations and Citrix-based applications.
• Assemble, install, configure, test, image, troubleshoot and repair hardware and peripherals.
• Assist with technology allowance purchases for attorneys and provide support and repairs for laptops/desktops.
• Assist with remote site access, AV setup requirements and off-site technology setups.
• Maintain data room components, data closets and troubleshoot networking issues with the Technology Manager/Supervisor.
• Support adds, moves and changes; service and loaner equipment; maintain inventory records.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, attorneys and business services professionals.
• Ensure security of Firm systems; follow Firm policies; assist with training on technology systems.
• Provide basic induction training on technology systems and software; deliver training modules from the global training department.
• Maintain high level of customer service and effective communication; manage operating needs.
