Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to support lease accounting schedules and related reporting. The role requires a solid foundation in general ledger accounting and ASC 842 knowledge, with emphasis on internal controls and accurate journal entries.

You will coordinate with internal teams and auditors, ensuring compliance with evolving standards while maintaining timely financial reporting. Remote/hybrid options are available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting; minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes, stakeholders, systems, and internal controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of changes in accounting standards from FASB, SEC and PCAOB and analyzes impact.
