Job summary

Cable One is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to manage lease accounting under ASC 842 and general ledger activities. This role supports internal and external audits, maintains schedules, and drives process improvements across accounting functions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least one year of GL experience, with preference for exposure to lease accounting and corporate reporting. A remote-friendly arrangement is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university focusing in Accounting, or Financial Accounting; and a minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting and/or corporate accounting environment.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses for department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB/SEC/PCAOB standards affecting internal accounting and reporting.
