Job summary

Cable One is seeking a diligent accounting professional to manage lease accounting schedules and consolidation processes. The role focuses on ASC 842 compliance, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations, with involvement in audits and SOX controls.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least one year of GL accounting experience, with a preference for familiarity with ASC 842 and corporate environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting is required.
• At least 1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a public or corporate setting.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end understanding of lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects for department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB disclosures that affect accounting practices.
