Job summary

Cable One is seeking a professional to support lease accounting, reporting, and controls within our Finance team. The role focuses on ASC 842 lease schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations, with collaboration across stakeholders to ensure accurate disclosures.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting and at least one year of general ledger experience, with ASC 842 knowledge highly preferred. Remote work options available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting with a minimum of one year of general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects as requested by leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
