Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer to join our growing team in Traverse City, MI. You will design, analyze, and upgrade medium- and low-voltage power distribution and generation systems for industrial clients, managing projects from concept through commissioning.

You will lead electrical scope on moderate to large assignments, mentor junior staff, and interface with clients and vendors. Travel about 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in electrical power systems design or analysis for industrial projects.
• Experience with medium-voltage (1 kV–38 kV) distribution.
• Ability to model from field data and interpret results.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical scope on projects, define work and schedules.
• Develop and review one-line diagrams, schematics, and junction diagrams.
• Perform power system studies: load flow, short circuit, coordination.
• Support field investigations, commissioning, and client meetings.
