Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer to join our team in a flexible hybrid/remote arrangement in the United States. You will design, analyze, and upgrade medium- and low-voltage power distribution and generation systems for industrial clients, from concept through commissioning.

You will lead electrical scope on projects, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with mechanical, civil, controls, and process disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 3+ years of electrical power systems engineering experience in industrial, utility, or consulting environments.
• Experience designing or modifying medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain power system models; perform load flow, short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, and harmonic studies.
• Develop protective relay settings and coordination; produce settings files and test plans.
• Design and review electrical diagrams, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, and associated systems.
• Lead electrical scope on projects; coordinate with multi-discipline teams and clients.
