Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting seeks an Electrical Power Engineer to join our growing team in a hybrid/remote role. You will design, analyze, and upgrade medium- and low-voltage power distribution and generation systems for industrial energy clients, from concept through commissioning.

Typical work includes protection coordination, grounding, switchgear upgrades, transformer additions, and interconnections. You will lead the electrical scope on projects and mentor less experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Minimum of 3 years electrical power systems engineering experience.
• Experience designing/modifying medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems.
• Hands-on modeling with SKM ETAP EasyPower or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical scope on moderate to large projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Design and review diagrams, schematics, and interconnection plans.
• Develop protective relay settings and device coordination.
• Perform power system studies: load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, harmonic analyses.
