Kin Insurance seeks an Insurance Counsel - Forms to draft and file policy forms for personal auto or property as Kin expands into new states. You will anchor form drafting, advise on coverage interpretations, and lead regulatory reviews.

The role requires a JD and 5+ years of policy form drafting experience, with remote-first work flexibility across multiple states. You will collaborate with Claims, Product, and Customer Experience teams, ensuring filing-ready forms and robust state-specific

Qualifications

• JD required with 5+ years drafting policy forms
• Experience drafting personal lines forms for multiple states
• Ability to interpret state statutes and translate into policy language
• Ability to respond to regulator objections and defend form wording

Responsibilities

• Draft state and product forms packages for assigned line of business
• Research statutes and regulations and translate into compliant policy wording
• Advise internal partners on coverage interpretation and form wording
• Review and respond to Department of Insurance objections and audits
• Maintain and update forms packages in response to new statutes and product changes
• Provide training on policy forms and regulatory expectations
• Serve as backup drafter for the other line of business
