Kin Insurance seeks an Insurance Counsel - Forms to draft and file policy forms for personal auto and property as Kin expands into new states. You will research statutes, draft forms, and provide regulatory responses to objections while advising internal teams on coverage interpretation.

This role anchors a line within the Forms team and serves as backup for the other line as needed, all in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• JD degree required and 5+ years of policy form drafting.
• Experience drafting personal auto or property forms for multiple states.
• Ability to read state statutes and convert to policy language.
• Experience responding to regulator objections on form filings.
• Advising business stakeholders on coverage interpretation.

Responsabilités

• Translate statutes into clear, filing-ready form language.
• Draft state and product forms packages for your line.
• Review forms for regulatory compliance and escalate state-law questions.
• Advise internal teams on coverage interpretation.
• Act as backup drafter for the other line.
• Establish reusable drafting standards.
• Deliver internal training on policy forms.
• Maintain forms packages under regulatory updates.
