Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced inpatient coder for the 10407 Enterprise Revenue Cycle - Coding Production Operations. The role focuses on complex documentation review and accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding within a full-time schedule.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s degree in Health Information Management and AHIMA or AAPC certification, with 7 years of inpatient coding experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• 7 years inpatient coding experience in acute care facility.
• AHIMA or AAPC coding certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure correct code selection per Official Coding Guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards to support DNFB and audits.
• Collaborate with CDI and QA teams to align DRG and coding practices.
• Stay updated on coding guidelines through webinars and resources.
