Job summary

Asset Living seeks an Affordable Housing Assistant Community Manager to oversee on-site operations and finances for a housing community. You will supervise staff, manage leasing, maintenance, and risk, and ensure compliance with housing laws.

Key duties include posting charges, closing books, and driving resident retention through programs and marketing initiatives. This is an on-site role emphasizing strong leadership and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community under supervision.
• Assist with delinquency and rent collection to optimize cash flow.
• Supervise staff and ensure compliance with policies, safety and fair housing guidelines.
• Handle leasing, maintenance, administration and risk management in the Community Manager's absence.
• Post charges, bill back utilities, and perform end-of-month closings and reporting.
• Maintain organized records and audit resident files for accuracy.
• Walk units, process move-out charges and refunds, and ensure resident satisfaction.
• Lead strategic leasing, marketing efforts and resident retention programs.
