Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Affordable Housing Assistant Community Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the housing community under the Community Manager. The role focuses on rent collection, budgeting, and compliance with Fair Housing laws, while supervising staff and maintaining resident relations onsite.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of affordable housing experience, preferred accreditation, and the ability to post payments, manage accounts receivable, and meet financial

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD project-based, etc.).
• Affordable Housing Accreditation (HCCP, HCP-E, COS, BOS, TCS, CPO) preferred.
• Responsible for posting all payments and income accurately and timely.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt and evictions; ensure timely notices and collections.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community under Community Manager supervision.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, safety, and company policies.
• Lead leasing, staff development, and resident relations to optimize occupancy and satisfaction.
• Prepare end-of-month close and financial reporting; maintain organized records.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
