Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Lead Publications professional to head cross-functional teams responsible for publication plans across assets. You will oversee manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations to align with strategic objectives and ensure high-quality outputs.

The role requires leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage internal teams and external vendors while maintaining adherence to publication policies and timelines.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of medical/scientific publications experience or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities are required.
• Knowledge of publication structure, content, and quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Publications Team(s) for assigned assets and drive publication plans.
• Oversee tactical execution of publication plans within timelines and budgets.
• Review publications for quality and alignment with platforms and communications.
• Partner with Directors to align strategic publication plans with budgets and resources.
• Provide direction to internal/external writers and manage external vendors.
