Job summary

The role requires leadership, excellent communication, and experience in medical publications. You will oversee internal and external writers, budgeting, and timelines while ensuring quality outputs and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees preferred.
• PhD, PharmD, or Master’s degree is preferred; professional certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong communication skills.
• Experience with medical/publication regulatory standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Publications Team(s) for assigned assets and drive publication execution.
• Oversee tactical publication plan execution to meet timelines and budgets.
• Review publications for quality and alignment with platforms and communications.
• Coordinate with Directors to align strategic plans with publication plans.
• Manage outsourcing budgets and internal resources for publications.
• Provide oversight to internal/external writers and ensure high-quality outputs.
• Direct external vendors to complete publication projects on schedule and within quality standards.
• Address staffing and performance issues; support talent retention.
• Maintain accurate publication records and resourcing tools across assets.
