Vail Health Hospital is seeking a Scheduling Clerk to manage outpatient Imaging and Cardiopulmonary appointments with accuracy and courtesy. You will verify demographics, insurance, and provider requests, and create Pre-Registration encounters for all scheduled procedures.

Responsibilities include handling incoming calls, coordinating with clinic staff, ensuring up-to-date orders, and guiding patients with preparation instructions.

Competenze

• Previous admitting or clerical experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Must possess basic computer skills and typing.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Mansioni

• Accurate and timely scheduling of Outpatient Imaging and Cardiopulmonary procedures.
• Answer incoming phone calls, take messages, and route calls appropriately.
• Obtain complete orders prior to scheduling and ensure demographics/insurance are up to date.
• Create complete Pre-Registration accounts for all scheduled appointments.
• Use scheduling lists to contact patients and follow up as orders arrive.
• Provide patients with preparation instructions, education, directions, and check-in times.
• Coordinate with staff when out of office to maintain scheduling activity.
• Demonstrate professional communication and HIPAA compliance.
