Job summary

Vail Health Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Registration Clerk to support outpatient scheduling by verifying patient demographics and insurance information for scheduled procedures. You will create complete Pre-Registration accounts and coordinate with schedulers during absences, ensuring seamless scheduling activity.

You must demonstrate excellent communication skills and phone etiquette; prior admitting or clerical experience is preferred and basic knowledge of medical terminology is

• Demonstrates excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Must possess typing and computer skills for online learning, forms and policy access.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with clinic staff, providers and technologists to verify demographics and insurance information.
• Creates complete Pre-Registration accounts for all scheduled appointments.
• Documents contact attempts and schedules follow-up dates with other staff when out of the office.
• Demonstrates professional communication and phone etiquette. Previous admitting or clerical experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
