Job summary

Vail Health Hospital is seeking a dedicated Scheduling Clerk to oversee the outpatient imaging and cardiopulmonary procedure scheduling process. The role involves coordinating with providers, staff, and patients, verifying demographics and insurance details, and creating Pre-Registration records for all appointments.

You will handle inbound calls, manage messages, and follow up on orders while ensuring accuracy and adherence to scheduling guidelines and HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous admitting or clerical experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely scheduling of Outpatient Imaging and Cardiopulmonary procedures.
• Answering incoming phone calls, taking complete messages, prioritizing and redirecting calls appropriately.
• Obtain complete orders prior to scheduling and ensure demographics and insurance information are up to date.
• Create complete Pre-Registration accounts for all scheduled appointments.
• Use scheduling request lists to make outgoing calls to patients and document contact attempts.
