Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Support Engineer for a hybrid role in the RTP, NC area. Onsite presence is required every Tuesday with remote work for the rest of the week. The position starts as an initial 3-month contract with quarterly extensions and potential for long-term opportunities.

The role involves onboarding, implementation, platform adoption, and technical troubleshooting across IT infrastructure, networking, and connectivity initiatives, serving customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

2+ years in technical or network support roles.
Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, SSH, SNMP.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience.

Responsibilities

Support onboarding, implementation, and activation of technology solutions.
Configure and support VM-based collectors, integrations, and monitoring tools.
Provide guidance on networking, DNS, IP addressing, and firewall policies, and authentication requirements.
Assist with cloud implementations, API integrations, and platform adoption initiatives.
Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application issues with engineering and support teams.
Deliver technical training and end-user guidance for platform utilization.
Document customer environments, configurations, troubleshooting, and milestones.
