Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Support Engineer to support onboarding, implementation, and troubleshooting for a leading networking technology organization. The role is hybrid in the RTP, NC area with mandatory on-site Tuesdays and remote work elsewhere.

The position offers an initial 3-month contract with quarterly extensions and strong long-term potential. You will work with customers and internal teams on network infrastructure, connectivity, and IT operations initiatives.

Qualifications

2+ years in network support or related technical role.
Experience with networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls, SSH, SNMP.

Responsibilities

Partner with customer IT and infrastructure teams for onboarding, implementation and activation of networking solutions.
Assist with deployment, configuration and support of VM-based collectors, integrations, monitoring tools, and network-related technologies.
Provide guidance on networking, connectivity, DNS, IP addressing, routing, switching, firewall policies, authentication and system access.
Support cloud-based implementations, API integrations, system migrations, and platform adoption.
Troubleshoot network, infrastructure and application issues with engineering and support teams.
Deliver technical training and end-user guidance for platform utilization.
Document customer network environments, configurations, troubleshooting efforts, and milestones.
