Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Support Engineer to assist onboarding, implementation, and platform adoption for a leading organization. The role is hybrid in the RTP, NC area, with onsite presence every Tuesday and remote work for the rest of the week.

The position starts as a 3-month contract with potential quarterly extensions and strong long-term potential. The Network Support Engineer will work with customers and internal teams on networking infrastructure, connectivity, and IT

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in network support or related technical role.
Hands-on networking fundamentals experience.
Experience with Cisco/Meraki/Aruba preferred.
Experience with Windows environments and enterprise infrastructure preferred.
Understanding of cybersecurity concepts including patching and CVEs.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
CCNA certification or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support onboarding, implementation, and activation of networking solutions.
Deploy, configure, and support VM-based collectors, integrations, and monitoring tools.
Provide guidance on networking concepts including DNS, IP addressing, routing, and security policies.
Support cloud-based implementations, API integrations, and migrations.
Troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolutions with teams.
Deliver training and best practices for platform use.
Document customer network environments and milestones.
