Job summary

Piper Companies seeks a Technical Support Engineer for a hybrid role in the RTP, NC area. Onsite presence is required every Tuesday with remote work for the rest of the week, initially for a 3-month contract with potential extensions.

The engineer will support onboarding, implementation, platform adoption, and troubleshooting across IT infrastructure, networking, and connectivity initiatives, collaborating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

2+ years in technical support or related role.
Hands-on with Windows IT infrastructure.
Familiar with DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, and networking concepts.
Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Partner with customer IT/infrastructure teams to support onboarding, implementation, and activation of technology solutions.
Assist with deployment, configuration, and support of VM-based collectors, integrations, and monitoring tools.
Provide technical guidance on networking, connectivity, system access, DNS, IP addressing, firewall policies, and authentication requirements.
Support cloud-based implementations, API integrations, system migrations, and platform adoption initiatives.
Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application issues with engineering/support teams to coordinate resolutions.
Deliver technical training, end-user guidance, and best practices for platform utilization.
Document customer environments, configurations, troubleshooting efforts, and milestones.
