Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Support Specialist in the Raleigh, NC area. This hybrid role requires time onsite with potential remote consideration for the right candidate. You will join the customer success team to onboard customers, deploy virtual machines, troubleshoot, and provide ongoing technical support.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, basic networking knowledge, and the ability to build positive relationships while resolving technical challenges.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in technical support, customer success, help desk or related role.
• CCNA-level networking knowledge including routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience deploying or supporting virtual machines in VMware, Hyper-V, cloud environments, or similar platforms.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to manage expectations and overcome objections.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues while maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer support throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot virtual machines and related environments.
• Assist customers with networking issues including connectivity, IP addressing, routing, and basic troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with customers to drive adoption and ensure successful outcomes.
• Work with internal engineering, product and customer success teams to resolve issues and improve the experience.
