Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a technically strong, customer-focused Technical Inside Sales Specialist to drive growth in the US Electrification Division.

You will pursue incoming leads, provide technical guidance, support complex bids and proposals, and translate customer needs into sales opportunities. You will collaborate with sales, proposal, operations, and customer teams to move opportunities from inquiry to order, including account setup, NDAs, orders, warranties, and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business (or commensurate experience)
• 8+ years of experience, including 3+ years in electrical industry
• Knowledge of 3-phase AC Power Systems and related electrical products
• Experience with complex bid/proposal processes and contract negotiations
• Strong cross-functional coordination and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary inside sales and customer support resource, qualifying leads and guiding customers before transitioning to outside sales.
• Manage and coordinate the proposal process, review RFQs, oversee Salesforce opportunities, support pricing and pre-negotiation activities.
• Drive customer satisfaction and project execution through proactive communication, updates, and post-sale coordination.
• Support business operations and sales performance by handling NDA/warranty processes, customer events, and sales reporting.
